The Sociedade da Agua de Luso celebrated in 2012, 160 years of existence full of innovative and striking facts for the Company, its region and the country.
With headquarters in the town of Luso and Mealhada county, SAL’s main activity is the exploration and bottling of LUSO Natural Mineral Water.
Luso Natural Mineral Water is an exception resource. It is born at 28ºC temperature in the town of Luso. It originates in the rainwater infiltrated in the Serra do Buçaco, in rocks formed, almost exclusively, by quartz, called quartzites. The summit topography of quartzites allows them to benefit from high orographic rainfall.
